There are three types of non-small cell lung cancer. They have different names, depending on what types of cells the tumour is made from. The three types of cells that this type of lung cancer tumour can be made from are Squamous cell carcinoma, Adenocarcinoma, or Large cell carcinoma. So, if a person has a Squamous cell carcinoma for example, it means that they have a tumour in their lung that is made up of the squamous cell dividing uncontrollably.
